Stop Urban Sprawl

Against the gradual construction of homes in the East of England.

They want to add 31,080 homes to North Hertfordshire. And they have no plans to build infrastructure.

The government wants to build 1,036 homes a year in North Hertfordshire. At that rate, sustained for thirty years, that is 31,080 homes - +51% on the 60,508 dwellings already in the area.

There are 23 towns and villages in our list for North Hertfordshire. That is an average of 45 new homes a year across every settlement in the area - about 1,351 each over thirty years, if the annual figure were spread evenly.

What we've got now

Now they want another 31,080 homes here.
